KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — Bad news for people trying to keep cool in Kalamazoo County Friday.
Consumers Energy's live power outage map shows a two outage affecting around 3,500 customers in Texas Township and Corners.
One outages was reported around 4:16 a.m., with an estimated time of restoration of 3 p.m.
The second outage was reported at 11:42 a.m., with an estimated time of restoration of 4:30 p.m.
The outage is not expected to expand, according to Josh Paciorek with Consumers Energy.
"There was an equipment failure related to a substation. We’re grateful for our customers’ patience as crews work on restoring power," he said.
The power was restored Friday afternoon.
